Plain English first: we collect what we need to run your account and improve explanations, and nothing we can avoid.

What we collect

Account details you give us, such as your name, email address and exam board. If you upload notes or a PDF, we store that file so you can return to it.

Basic usage information, such as which topics you opened and whether an explanation helped, so we can make the weaker ones better.

What we never do

We do not sell your data, and we do not share your uploads with advertisers.

We do not use the contents of your notes to build a public profile of you.

Under-18 accounts

Lumi is designed for students aged 16 to 18. Accounts created through a school are governed by the agreement we hold with that school.

Your choices

You can export or delete your account and everything in it from your settings at any time. Deletion is permanent and takes effect within thirty days across our backups.
